Lorin walked into the park. She was here to read and relax. Perfectly logical, she was reading some scientific material. She sat down on a bench, still in her Commowealth uniform.

Two didn’t quite understand GC architecture. There was no point to this part of the base that he could discern… Nothing useful that is. Relaxing didn’t qualify as a good use of time… He wasn’t sure why exactly he was in the section in the first place, having been wandering around until a job arose. It would give him a slight edge after all if he knew the enemy’s starbase’s layout. Two spotted Lorin, tilting his head a tiny bit. Interesting, someone does use this place for something after all, and by the name of the book perhaps it does have at least some value…

She stared at the man, scrutinizing him. What was he? What was he doing here? Illogical Terran Empire man, of course here for the peace talks. “Hello.”

Huh, strange, a conversation. He greatly wished this person had something useful to talk about, and not just some sort of idle chichat. “Hello…” He responded with a nod, his voice and expression rather… Empty.

“Terran Empire. Are you of use to me?” She wanted to know what she could get out of this man. To scout out the Terrans for the Commonwealth.

He did that small head tilt again, not 100% sure what she was saying. Borg weren’t known for their conversation skills after all “Are you implying I would help you? It would be illogical and of zero tactical value to help someone that is not affiliated with me.” It wasn’t rude or anything, just…. Curious, maybe a bit confused. Although with the lack of tone that wasn’t really obvious.

“So you aren’t. Fine. I take it you are against peace.” She didn’t know of any Terran Empire people who wanted peace. But she wanted peace. Then she could do more science.

”I do not prefer one or another. As long as I have a purpose, I am content.” Would there be any use for him if there was peace? Would he be deemed unimportant?

“Peace allows me to continue my scientific endeavors and start new ones. Therefore it is beneficial to me.” Lorin generally had kinda bad vibes. Not murder.. just apathy towards life. She didn’t care, she just wanted to do science. Completely and utterly emotionless.

”I suppose that would be beneficial to your work.” Two took a leaf off a tree simply to look at it “Well, depending on the science of course.”

“My field is xenobiology. Not destroying planets before the life on them can be researched would aid in the understanding of the universe. How much of the galaxy has been lost to senseless and illogical violence.” It was a shame. So many planets gone, without a chance to collect data.
Avatar
Lieutenant Two of Thirteen | TE BOT 26-Nov-22 10:11 PM
”It would be much better to utilize planets for their resources, instead of destroying them and completely wasting their value.” Two didn’t understand the whole ‘its a bad thing’ part, just the ‘lost’ part.

“Life has more value than simple resources. There is also data to be gathered.” Again, advertising her disregard for why else someone might care about life. She disregarded the emotions of others all the time, even those of her husband. Though, neither of them cared about each other’s emotions. They just behaved civilly toward each other out of politeness.

Lieutenant Two of Thirteen | TE BOT 26-Nov-22 10:27 PM
”Is data not, in a sense, another resource?” Two questioned, his arm making a small whirr noise. Which in another case could be concerning, but it wasn’t doing anything. “And by extension, knowledge?”
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Lorin | GC BOT 26-Nov-22 10:30 PM
“In a way, yes. Oh, and if you try to attack me, you will regret it.” She said, hearing the whirr. She wasn’t about to trust a Terran Empire soldier, let alone one with such dangerous implants and things.

”There is no value in doing that. Nor was I ordered to do so.” He let out something that could be considered a huff…? “It would be a better use of my time to continue this conversation.”

Lieutenant Solait tr'Torre'vnau | GC BOT 28-Nov-22 02:17 PM
[D] Solait was honestly not ready for these peace talks. It seemed like only yesterday he was fighting for his life on some random shuttle, trying to escape the clutches of the Empire. He was not secretive on his opinion about the highly militaristic faction either, grimacing whenever he saw another Empire officer cross his path. He was not going to start open conflict with any of the officers, but the feelings were still fresh in his mind. He was at the parkland that day with his pet epohh, Laf'ilak. A blue epohh with six eyes and very wiggly antennae. She was combat trained because of course she was. Unlike her father, Laf'ilak was almost identical to her primeverse counterpart. She loved teaching her fahter new tricks and watching the gangly Romulan roll over, completely convinced that it was him who was training her. "Laf'ilak, you need to roll like this," Solait said as he got on his knees and began to roll to the side.

[D] T’Pir had decided to explore her new surroundings, this was motivated both by her inherent curiosity as well as the enorm benefits that a certain familiarity with the station would bring should the negotiations escalate. She had changed her uniform for a red dress with a knee length circle skirt and an oversized jacket, they made her look very much like a fish out of water. They were old, but hadn't been in use for years and she quite definitely knew why. The dress was entirely too thin. She wasn't even certain if she was allowed to go about without obvious indication of what faction she was part of, but no one had stopped her yet. When she entered the park she had her arms wrapped around her torso in an half-hearted attempt to keep herself warm. Eyes quickly dashing from one side to the other she attempted to make out any and all potential threats in the room, which was how she ended up watching the epohh. It wasn't exactly the thing she deemed most dangerous in the room, but it had been a long time since she had interacted with (or seen for that matter) any animal. There were a few stray memories of a pet she had had as a child, but they were buried under a lot of other things, so she tried her best to simply focus on the present. At what was still a somewhat safe distance from the epohh and its person she halted, tilted her head and simply stood there and observed.

Solait was really out here just rolling around in his uniform. He didn't have many clothes outside of the standard issued uniform-- well, he had his Terran Empire uniform that for some reason he couldn't bring himself to toss out. As he was busy rolling on the ground in an attempt to train his epohh non-combat techniques, Laf'ilak had her six eyes immediately trained on the stranger who was suddenly watching them. It took Solait a couple seconds to notice that his daughter had spied someone curious, but when he did he sat up and looked to see-- a beautiful Vulcan in a red dress. Was this stranger a civilian? Or were they here for the peace talks? Solait's cheeks began to heat up and he quickly looked away. He had heard many stories of other factions and even some rogue aliens disguising themselves as attractive beings in order to lure enemies into a false sense of security. Well, maybe he'd play along? Solait stood up and whispered a few words in Havrannsu to his epohh before walking over to the stranger watching them. He was cautious, but his posture was confident and his strides were long. "Jolan tru, may I help you?" He asked not even both to try speaking Vulcan or anything like that. Solait, unlike his mirror counterpart, did not care to try to speak foreign tongues unless the situation absolutely required it.

Her eyes snapped immediately back to the Romulan(?)(... she really didn't know), that was now approaching her. Had he just… blushed? She couldn't help herself but raise one of her eyebrows. Head still tilted, she stood her ground whilst quickly scanning him for weapons, both obvious ones as well as potential places to hide any. It was just so she could put her own mind at ease, seeing as she had decided to leave the most notable of the weapons she would usually carry back in her quarters in order to avoid causing a ruckus. Not that she cared much for the results of these negotiations, but she saw no point in messing them up quite so early on. "Sorry, I did not mean to disturb you." Her accent was somewhat noticeable, but such a scrambled mess of multiple components that it was difficult to place. There was a short pause as she thought about what else she could say without sounding overly suspicious. She brushed back her hair with one hand and attempted to wrap her jacket yet a little closer around herself. It wasn't even like she was doing anything that should warrant suspicion.... normally. "I'm just looking around. Your… friend has quite the look to them. It's very… eye-catching I believe the word is." She glanced over to the epohh again, but made sure he didn't leave her field of vision entirely. It would be more than foolish to turn her back on a potential enemy.

Solait was unsurprised by the Vulcan's actions. The stranger seemed tense and rightfully so. Solait wore a permanent scowl on his face and his presence was overwhelming to say the least. He walked with confidence and grace. Solait's daughter waddled over behind him despite having orders to stay where she was. The blue epohh gave the mysterious person a goofy smile as her antennae wiggled about. "Her name is Laf'ilak. She's an epohh, from Mol'Rihan," He stated, speaking Vulcan as best he could. He was nowhere near perfect, but his attempt was clear. He watched as the woman hugged her jacket around herself, furrowing his brows slightly. Was she cold? The blush on his face got deeper as his mind began to wander. He wasn't going to fall for Terran deception if this was one, however... This stranger was clearly not going to attack him, she spoke calmly and without aggression. Surely if she was an assassin she would be more... Assassin-y? "Are you cold?" Solait asked as he began to unzip his uniform jacket so he could offer it to her. He was just as tall as his prime verse counterpart, although a little more muscular. Solait did much more stabbing than Renakir did so his arms were a bit beefier and his waist thicker.

T'Pir had no idea what an epohh was exactly, but if Laf'ilak was any indication they looked quite adorable. The ghost of a smile appeared on her face. Then she took a step to the side to ensure she could still see him while looking at the epohh and crouched down to study Laf'ilak in greater detail. "She's quite precious." A very distinct probably regional accent aside there was hesitancy to the way she spoke Vulcan. T'Pir hadn't actually spoken her first language in such a long time that the words felt almost foreign coming out of her mouth. If she were on duty, she would have just answered in Standard, it helped her remind herself to keep her guard up. When she heard his question she looked up. "Well yes, I'm not used to these clothes, but I thought the Galactic Commonwealth wanted these negotiations to work out." T'Pir smirked, she hadn't planned to bring up the negotiations, but seeing as she didn't have any orders to sabotage them (yet), she wouldn't try to do so either. Plus she was curious what reaction she might be able to provoke. "Me impersonating a Lieutenant of this station of yours might cause some issues. Plus I'll probably survive the temperature. Thank you though."

Solait smiled shyly when the woman complimented his epohh. A Vulcan who was nice to him, now that was something he didn't expect. Maybe she was a spy? Or maybe she was genuinely a nice person who wanted to make a friend? Solait wasn't the type to give in to paranoia, he was done living that life. Now he wantedd to dedicate himself to exploring and making peace with others. "Yes, I mean, we do," Solait responded wearily, chuckling a little when the Vulcan mentioned not wanting to impersonate him. For some reason he suddenly felt shy, as if he was unsure how to proceed. Should he just tell this stranger he was interested or would that be dangerous? Fuck it, he was going to say it. He zipped his jacket back up and straightened it out, straightening his posture and looking proud as ever. "I think you're very attractive, may I ask your name? I'm Lieutenant Solait tr'Torre'vnau, OPS officer and the ACOO here," He said with much confidence. If this woman was a spy or assassin he would take that chance. She couldn't possibly be here to sabotage the negotiations by charming him-- and then stabbing him once his guard was down, would she?

Lt. Cdr. T'Pir | TE BOT 30-Nov-22 09:20 AM
After standing up again, she carefully inspected his face. This wasn't exactly the reaction she had been expecting. This usually didn't happen, most likely because most people she met were either dead within the hour, colleges or both. She opened her mouth, closed it again… What to say? "You're pretty." He was. Still, that was probably not the best thing to say. But she had to say something, or else the silence while she tried to figure out how to respond to his request for her name, might have become a little too awkward. Should she try to have some fun with this? Let him choose the way this encounter proceeded for her? She might as well, right? A few seconds passed, before she spoke again. "I appreciate the compliment, Solait. May I call you that, or would you prefer titles? I know some people do." She did on most occasions, especially when speaking to colleagues. There the illusion of safety that came with a lack of distance didn't only get in the way, it was an active weak spot for others to jump on. Perhaps this was a dreadful idea, but she felt like experimenting. "Which name would you like? I've got a few." She tilted her head to the side and took a small step back, watching his expression as she waited for a response.

Had he kept someone of his paranoia from the past perhaps he would have taken the other's reaction as a signal that she was about to strike-- but then she didn't. Instead she returned the compliment which only made his grey cheeks flush a deep shade of green. 'Don't lose your cool', he told himself. This lovely Vulcan could easily be an assassin here to sabotage the peace talks, he had to stay vigilant. "Just Solait is fine," Solait responded, noticing the long gap of silence between her comment and her question. Laf'ilak sat beside her father, still staring at the stranger as if she were sizing the woman up. Solait quickly noticed this action and scooped his epohh up into his arms so she could get a better look at the woman. Laf'ilak was a smart girl, if Solait couldn't sniff trouble, she definitely could. "Why don't you give me the one you like the most? You're Vulcan, right? I wasn't aware they practiced the same naming traditions as Romulans, or could you be an assassin?" Bold thing to say, but Solait was bold. They often said pets look like their owners and that was true for Solait and Laf'ilak. Both narrowed their eyes, intrigued, but also cautious of the stranger.

She looked at him for a moment, eyebrows slightly furrowed, then she threw her head back and laughed. There wasn't much sound to it, but there was a bright smile on her face, that made her eyes shine. His comment hit, probably unknowingly, not all too far from home, there'd certainly been time periods in which 'assassin' would have quite decently described her 'occupation'. Nowadays though that wasn't really the case. "I certainly wouldn't tell you if I was here to remove you from the picture, now would I? No worries tho, I'm no assassin and as far as I am aware I don't currently have any orders to harm anyone on this station, be it via assassination or otherwise." For a few moments she waited, both to observe his reaction as well as to sort through the names she had told people was hers over the years. "As for the name… I don't believe Vulcans do, although I suppose I wouldn't know for certain, I'm not overly familiar with Romulan customs." There was another short pause in which her eyes dashed around their surroundings, making sure they weren't being watched, both out of habit and because she didn't care for random people knowing any of the names dear to her. "Do you want the one I like best or the one I like people calling me best?"

Lieutenant Solait tr'Torre'vnau | GC BOT 30-Nov-22 02:31 PM
Solait wasn't easily spooked, but the laughter certificate threw him off and the way his eyebrows raised and mouth hung open showed that surprise. The Romulan-Reman officer laughed a few seconds after she did in an attempt to play along and not give away that he seriously thought she could have been an assassin. The laughter also gained a reaction from Laf'ilak who made an annoyed growl at her father for causing too much motion when he laughed. Solait looked at his pet apologetically and then back at the woman. A Vulcan laughing, not that was not a common sight. "Romulans are the champions of names. I swear we have a different name for each of the days of the week. Rest assured, I am only Solait of Remus," He lifted his chin, smiling proudly. He loved his name, Solait. It was given by his father whom he was still loyal to, even if he had no recollection of their time together. He held onto hope that somewhere Cerrub was out there. "How about the one you like people calling you the best. I bet it's just as pretty as you," There was an obvious twinkle in his eye as he said it, paired with a flirtatious smile. His epohh kept a neutral expression though, not interested in flirting with a bipedal creature.

Lt. Cdr. T'Pir | TE BOT 01-Dec-22 11:32 PM
She smiled at the epohh's protest, it was a curious creature and she couldn't help but wonder whether it was soft. "One for every day of the week, hm? I usually just decide what name to go with based on the situation and people I'm with, although just rotating them sounds like an interesting concept." It did sound interesting, but she was only being half serious and it was rather obvious by the tone of her voice. "What a pity… I'm sure any other names you might have would be just as nice as that one." Returning to the topic of her names, her thoughts drifted off for a moment. Her eyes were unfocused and it would have made a very convenient moment to attack her, but, no matter how reckless that may have been, she had unconsciously decided that he was not about to shank her (right now). She knew exactly what name to give him, it was convenient too, still she was slightly hesitant, which she tried to hide behind a joking demeanor. "Well I suppose then I am Pi'arev to you. Take care of that one, you might well be the only one alive who knows me by it." This was probably one of the least official names she could have given him. It was more of a nickname than anything else, derived from the name given to her by her parents, even if the two certainly were different enough, in her opinion, to be counted as separate names. She didn't think of her parents often, the time she'd spent with them seemed as far away as a galaxy that could barely be made visible with the newest technology. When her focus returned to the person across from her, her facial expression, for the first time in this conversation, looked relatively similar to what one might expect from a Vulcan, completely straight, except for the slightest touch of sadness and frustration. It didn't take long however before a slight smile returned to her face. "Well then, what now?" She took a quick look around. "I hope I'm not distracting you from any important plans?"

Lieutenant Solait tr'Torre'vnau | GC BOT 02-Dec-22 12:20 AM
Solait let out a soft chuckle and booped Laf'ilak's nose to try and calm her down. Even in the mirror universe she responded best to touch. Romulans may have still be touch starved in this universe, but epohhs were very much not and Solait gave his daughter so much love. She was not only his companion but his partner in crime, it was thanks to her he even made it out of the Terran Empire. "No, they really aren't," Solait responded to the woman's mention about 'any other names' he might have. His response seemed to imply he did in fact have more names than just 'Solait'. Solait, the Romulan-Reman, lying? Never! He had a 'Reman name', but he thought it was ugly, not as grand and commanding as Solait. Honestly if he could, he would want to bury all memory of his family, the people he knew in his heart he had wronged. Laf'ilak picked up on the woman's aloof expression and made a move to try and pounce out of Solait's arms and attack her first, but her father's grip was strong and she was very small. "Pi'arev," The tall Romulan-Reman officer repeated the name slowly with an airy tone, almost like he was singing a song. Only one alive who knows her by that name? Well then he was very lucky. The epohh in his arms still seemed on edge, but he was quite relaxed in contrast. "It's a beautiful name, it suits you," Solait was not subtle about his flirtations with Pi'arev at all, she was pretty and even if she was here to kill him, maybe he wouldn't mind a little stabbing from a pretty woman? "Would you like to take a walk? I promise Laf'ilak won't attack you," Solait gently nudged the epohh's back as if to tell her she better not act up. He was trying to impress a pretty woman! "And maybe you could tell me a little about yourself?" A bold suggestion, but Solait was bold.

She took a mental note of the fact that he didn't seem overly fond of at least one other name that he apparently did have. It probably wouldn't matter at all, but more information was always useful. For a moment she entertained the thought of asking what was so bad about it, but ultimately decided not to push it. She had no desire to cut their interaction short. Initially surprised by the epohh’s movement her hand twitched, ready to reach for… something, but she stopped the motion as soon as she noticed that he was holding onto Laf’ilak. Over the span of about two seconds ‘Pi’arev’ narrowed her eyes and adjusted her expectations of what she had to expect from epohhs. Then she chuckled. She didn't seem overly concerned by the possibility that Laf’ilak might try to jump her again. It wasn’t like she was completely unarmed, that’d just be downright stupidity. "She's a feisty one, isn't she? I'll try not to anger her any further." She chuckled again at his reaction to her name, even though the ‘it fits you’ part didn’t quite sit right with her. It had fit Evoras alright, she just wasn’t sure if it fit T’Pir at all. Her parents probably wouldn’t think so. Then again they were dead, their opinions didn’t matter. “Thank you. If you’re certain I’m not wasting your time, I’d love to walk.” Hopefully he didn’t plan to walk to any overly busy places, she didn’t want to meet any people she knew. “I suppose it depends, what do you want to know and what will you tell me in exchange?”

Solait was thankful she didn't pry about his names, but it was such a small detail he wasn't even sure if she caught it. He kept a firm grip on his epohh, but Laf'ilak's hostility did raise some red flags for him. She was never good with warming up to strangers, but at the same time he wondered if Pi'arev was giving off some bad vibes that were making her uncomfortable? Solait still didn't want to rule out the secret assassin theory. "It's alright, she's just not used to you," Solait wasn't completely telling the truth, but his words were not a lie either. He wasn't about to tell this mysterious woman that she had rancid vibes or something, he was here to impress her and perhaps even snag a date? "You have a beautiful laugh, Pi'arev," Solait complimented her. sincerity evident in his soft tone and airy tone. He took a step closer to Pi'arev and nodded his head to gesture for her to follow him down the path through the parkland. "Hmm information exchange? Sure. Well I guess first I'd like to know what faction you're from, if you're from any faction at all. I don't think a pretty red dress like that is standard uniform anywhere," Solait couldn't help but continue to compliment her, she was really charming and he was still trying to make a good impression! There was confidence in his tone, no sign of deception, his silver eyes conveyed the same message. Just a normal guy with his epohh daughter.

“Thank you… Look at me just saying thank you over and over.” She shook her head, which sent her hair flying. Pushing it back over her shoulders, she followed him down the path. Only to have his question stop her dead in her tracks. This should have been something she expected. She was so tempted to lie, it wasn’t like that was a thing she shied away from usually. Plus ‘Pi’arev’ wasn’t part of any factions, but he’d asked for HERS, which was another matter altogether. She tilted her head slightly and braced herself for potential outlashes. Well then, time to carefully watch for reactions. The shift that happened then was incredibly sudden, one moment she was hugging herself to ward off the cold and smiling slightly and then a blink of an eye later she was standing up straight, which made it more obvious than it had been before that she was barely an inch shorter than him, raising her chin and her face turned into a mixture of very emotionless Vulcan and a little something daring him to do something about it. “It isn’t, it would be by far too impractical, my uniform would do a much better job at keeping me warm, the colour is right tho. I’m guessing this isn’t a question you’ll let me pass on?” Her eyes were now following his every movement. She didn’t look like she was about to attack him, but she was definitely ready to fight back should he try anything. “I suppose I came here with the Eventide, make of that what you will.” This wasn’t something she liked to admit, something that faintly shone through her voice. It wasn’t that she was ashamed, she wasn’t ashamed of anything, she wasn’t. She just disliked talking about work in situations that didn’t require it. It was dangerous. Considerably less people tried to kill her if she didn’t inform them of anything related to her work.

Solait only laughed when the woman said thank you again. Laf'ilak apparently had enough of her father's stupid attempts at flirtation and when his guard was down, she kicked him in the collarbone and hopped down to the ground. She stuck by him, but eyes wandered and antennae bobbed every which way as she was trying to figure out her footing. As Solait moved to try and pick his epohh up again he stopped when the posture of 'Pi'arev' changed. She was no longer hugging her arms to the side, but holding her head up proudly and speaking clearly. ISS Eventide, huh? Terran. He should have guessed as the Vulcans were part of the Empire. So were the Romualns, but anyway. "Oh, so I am talking to a Terran Empire officer? I had a feeling as much," The way the woman carried herself was troubling to him. She was good at masking her true intentions, and being from that faction also meant she was probably not against some violence if it achieved her goals. The Romulan-Reman officer did the say anything at first, but scooped up his epohh in his arms. "I am not afraid of you, if that is what you're expecting. Not too long ago, I was in a similar position to you but... Well, the Romulans are not a species to just lay down and take orders from aliens who won't look out for their best interests," Solait responded, a spark in his eyes that made his words sound like he was bragging. "How do you like it? In the Empire that is? You can be honest, there's no one else here."

“I suppose you are.” The way he spoke irked her, but she refused to show it. “I have no orders to harm anyone on this station at this moment. That hasn’t changed in the few minutes since we’ve started talking. I’d expect people to be scared of me when I’m properly armed and they can’t figure out why their friend just dropped dead, not while I’m dressed like this. We are here for peace talks after all… That said, if you plan on living long and prosper, Lieutenant Solait tr'Torre'vnau, OPS officer and the ACOO of this station, I would strongly advise you not to go about informing anyone, especially not Tactical officers, that you are a deserter. ” She did not drop her rank, she had no reason to, she didn’t want to make this more official than it needed to be, seeing as she really had no intentions to inform anyone of this encounter. But… Her mind was filled with a blinking mess of warning signs, she was angry, something that she usually tried to avoid at all cost and she wasn’t fully certain why either. It took her a few moments to make sure her face would stay completely straight while speaking, something that in turn irritated her. “Are you not supposed to be the faction that wants to keep these negotiations going? I’m trying to make this easy for you, don’t go around calling me spineless when you have not even the tiniest sliver of an idea.” She took a step back from him. It was in no way meant to be a retreat, just a little more space so she could calm herself down and reassess her approach to this, while also having a better view of anything he might reach for.The Terran Empire was where she’d fled to. She was well aware that it wasn’t perfect, but the simple fact that she was able to just walk about here made it seem so much better in comparison… What else could she even want for? “I certainly like it better than where I was before. I believe you owe me quite some information about yourself.”

Solait did not expect that sort of response from the Vulcan. The 'live long and prosper' line did get a smile from him. How curious, she was brave to say that outloud. Laf'ilak could sense the tension growing between the two and quickly began to dig at Solait's feet, prompting him to scoop her up into his arms again. "Oh but of course," Solait said in a dismissive tone, clearly not rattled by the ominous threat from the Vulcan. He ruffled some feathers, maybe he should back off a bit? He wanted Pi'arev to like him after all. "And I am no deserted, I simply am a Romulan who knows what I want. I am not trying to insult you at all, my dear," Solait chuckled as he held his epohh a little tighter. He didn't think Pi'arev was going to try anything, but.... Maybe she would? "I was not calling you spineless, no, but in my time serving the Empire I realised there were more than a few people who was unhappy with how their identity was being pretty much outlawed," Solait made his case, trying to sound as nice as he could, but it was clear there was a strong difference of opinion between him and the Vulcan. "But I respect your decision to stay, my intention was not to insult, you have my word on that," Solait shook his head, his epohh making a weird squeaking noise as if she had something to say as well. "That I do, well, I will tell you anything you want to know. You know my name, my species, I have nothing to hide. I don't have any family if you're going to ask me about that, they all died after the Hobus Supernova, I grew up an orphan, alone on the streets, " Solait said, lying very casually with no clues that he was even doing so. It was true his family was dead, but he was part of a not-so-secret ring of dissidents within the Empire who caused much mischief before all defecting. Solait was one of the lucky few who were successful, but the majority of the group was not so lucky.
